Polarized lenses are the more popular option for many. But how do they work?

Polarization has been around for a long time, but not a lot of people know how it works. Here’s a quick explanation to help you decide if polarized lenses are right for you.

Let's break it down:

When light is reflected off a surface, the light waves all become aligned in the same direction. This is called glare and, as anyone knows who has spent much time on the snow or water, it’s hard on the eyes.

Polarized lenses simply filter out the light coming in that one direction while letting the light oriented in other directions pass through. Simple, but effective.
